1 correlates with blue lines, 2 correlates with black lines |

Please pay special attention to how the 1's and 2's are seemingly parallel to each other in this image. This technique allows for a truly interesting cover image, as there is a lot of contrast between the parallels. Yet more interestingly, the parallels are not located on the same page (plane?) -- they are split between the front and back cover, which is divided by the spine. Could these parallels also be one in the same?
Note: Ryuji Danma is the only character whose head is facing a different direction. Also, Onizuka is the only person not holding a blue popsicle, while Fukitoshi is the only one who holds each of the three different colored popsicles.
Opening comparison is finished. Now on to the headliner.

Scarecrow, Tin Man, Dorothy, and Lion (The Wizard of Oz) |

Eikichi Onizuka, Sakura Yamato, Fukitoshi, and Isami. (Bad Company) |
Whether intentional or not, the resemblance of the above image (The Wizard of Oz) and below image (Bad Company) is quite stark. (I've cropped out the outlying character to illustrate this to a finer degree.) Which characters would match up with these images besides, of course, Sakura and Dorothy? I'm not exactly sure.

Wicked Witch of the West (The Wizard of Oz) |
The remaining character, if going with The Wizard of Oz comparison, would most likely be Ryuji compared to The Wicked Witch of the West. I would find that so interesting, if true.
